Panic! Romney VP app sends tease

9 hours ago CNN Political Unit (CNN) – At 2:45 p.m. ET, the alert came: You have a new message from the "Mitt's VP" app.

That's the smart phone program that Mitt Romney's campaign says will be the first to announce the presumptive GOP nominee's pick for running mate.

Alas, Wednesday's message didn't contain the hotly anticipated name, only a message for supporters to "Enter for the chance to meet Mitt & his VP!"

It also didn't give any indication of when the pick would be announced.

But at least we know we're getting the messages.
