But recent figures have shown the group is speeding up in its fund-raising efforts, bringing in $6.1 million in June for a total of $16 million for the year. And Wednesday, the super PAC said it was reserving a whopping $30 million in broadcast and cable ad time come this fall.
Meanwhile, Restore Our Future announced it had raised $20 million in June.
Clinton, who appeared with Obama at major fund-raising events in New York in June, will further solidify his role as a major player in this year's election when he delivers a prime time speech at the Democratic National Convention in September.
The former president also joined Obama at an April fund-raiser in Virginia.
