The suit cites a July article posted on the NJDC website, titled "Tell Romney to Reject Adelson's Dirty Money" that claimed Adelson, a top donor to conservative super PACs, reportedly approved of prostitution. Adelson has denied the claims and in the document demanded a jury trial in addition to the $60 million sum and printed retractions.

But a statement from NJDC said they will not be "bullied into submission, and we will not be silenced by power."
"This is not Putin's Russia, and in America, political speech regarding one of the most well-known public figures in our country is a fundamental right. One would think the person making greatest use of the Citizens United ruling would understand this," Wednesday's statement read.
In the court document, Adelson's attorneys wrote the mogul has been the subject of "public hatred, contempt, scorn and ridicule" as a result of the allegations that are "punishing him for exercising his right to make monetary contributions to political causes, candidates of his choice and demeaning him within the Jewish community."
Adelson is the largest donor of this election cycle, having contributed approximately $10 million to pro-Mitt Romney super PAC Restore Our Future and more than $20 million to a super PAC that supported Newt Gingrich's Republican presidential run.
Adelson threatened to file a similar suit against the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in July, asking the group to retract allegations he profited from prostitution in China. The DCCC later issued an apology and retraction.
A June report from the Associated Press said court documents in a lawsuit claimed Adelson approved and was aware of prostitution at his company's properties in Macau. Although a Las Vegas Sands spokesman and attorney for the company denied the allegations, made in the court filing by a former chief executive fired from the Macau casino.
The new suit, filed by Adelson's lawyers, who include famed attorney Lin Wood, who defended Gary Condit, John and Patsy Ramsey and Kobe Bryant among others, takes its demands a step farther in rhetoric and monetary demands.
Wednesday's suit also pointed to Adelson's charitable work, which includes funding for drug treatment centers focused on "women whose addiction has forced them into prostitution."
